Your AIC Team
Jerry Brockhaus, Founder and President
Jerry has over 30 years of experience in the insurance
industry with over 27 years in aviation insurance. In
the late 70's he took a risk and left a large corporation to
start his own agency with Farmer's Insurance Group.
Soon after growing a successful Farmer's agency, he started
AIC, at first, to serve several of his Farmer clients who
were pilots. Since then, with the help of his amazing
team of professionals, AIC has grown to serve thousands of
clients and millions in premiums. Jerry has also been
a pilot since 1973 and is currently holding a commercial
multi-engine instrument rating. He is the proud owner
of a Beech Bonanza and is a corporate pilot for a Pilatus
PC-12.
He also volunteers his
service to a number of aviation missionary ministries.
Jeff McClaran, Vice President - Sales and Operations
Jeff fell in love with anything to do with airplanes as a
small child. He was constantly exposed to it since his
mother, Sharon Tooley-Agee (below), and her husband were
both in aviation insurance. At the age of 15, he was
presented with two choices, work at a local airport as a
line boy or work at a Christian youth ranch as a ranch
hand. Jeff accepted the position at the youth ranch and set
out on a course to become a minister. He met his wife on a
missionary trip to Hong Kong. Once returning to the states, with added
responsibilities, he took a career in sales and worked with
several Fortune 500 companies in sales management and
marketing. He never forgot about his love for airplanes and
flying. In 2008 he decided to take the risk and leave the
corporate giant and join AIC and fulfill the longtime dream
of working in aviation. Jeff is currently working on his
pilot's license and hopes to someday rejoin the missionary
field as a part-time missionary pilot. He is completely
dedicated to AIC's high level concierge-type service that
they are dedicated to provide all their clients.
Sharon Tooley-Agee, Senior Insurance Specialist
Sharon has over 30 years of aviation insurance experience.
She began her career in the aviation insurance claims
department and quickly became manager.
She then became an aviation broker, specializing in
agricultural risks (Ag).
When the agency she was working for was sold to a
Managing General Agent for an insurance company, she was
quickly promoted to Underwriter.
She was a full lines aviation insurance Underwriter
for approximately 17 years.
When they closed their Kansas City Regional office,
she because their Territorial Underwriter for 7 States in
the Midwest. She
finally quit after 2 years of being the Territorial
Underwriter because the company was expecting her to travel
4 and 5 days a week.
She still had a small one at home so chose to quit and
become an Agent. She
has now been an agent for the last 13 years.
She loves the challenge of being an Agent/Broker with
her top priority being getting the best, most comprehensive
coverage for each and every one of her clients.
In addition to the above team members, we have various
insurance assistants and up-and-coming insurance specialists
that bring a tremendous value in terms of support and
integrity to our firm.
